This is our intermediate level product and is aimed at a growing business wishing to augment their current offline business with an online offering. Whilst the Enterprise Edition offers all the bells and whistles an enterprise would expect, this version provides a decent less costly alternative.

This edition provides the auctioneer with the ability to operate a busy online auction with the system hosted on the clustered server setup with perhaps one or two other system also running. The auction software will be optimised using our caching system and will still provide bidding updates in real time. This means the auction will still be able to deal with spikes in bidding activity and your users will able to access the latest bidding information without any degradation to the user experience.

The user interface is closely matched to your overall brand and company image from a choice of templates. It is then fully integrated to be a part of your own website. It will have a similar look and feel as you main web site. You may even want us to provide a content management system for you own company website. Whilst we take care of the running of the auction site, your users will be unaware they have left you website. The auction software can be integrated with current product pages augmenting the offering to you customers.

The Medium Company Edition auction system offers the following notable features:

• Closely integrated user interface taken from a choice of templates.
• Online payment integration – users can pay for the items online. It also provides the ability for the auctioneer to take deposits from prospective bidders and then take payment for item purchased.
• Semi-live absentee bid table – watch the bids being added to the system in semi-real time. Due to the nature of the server set up this will update once a minute as opposed to every second.
• Content Managed website – if you feel you need to re-visit your own company website then we can provide the platform for this.

 

Contract outline

The contract will have three constituent parts. We look to agree a contract of up to three years with you.

Set up Fee

This will cover the licence fee for the use of the system and process of capturing your requirements and integrating them with your business aims and objectives. We will generate your site from a choice of templates that have been designed to work well with auction systems. We will then add you branding and over all look and feel to the site to make it closely resemble your own site.

Maintenance Contract

This element forms the basis of our ongoing relationship after we get you up and running. By agreeing a maintenance contract we remove the awkwardness that often surrounds the relationship between client and developer. From the outset we both know what the expectation of each other over the length of the contract. In this edition we look to agree an amount equivalent to 3 days support and developer time per month. We are happy to take a flexibly approach to how these days are used. You may want to bunch some of the days together to tackle a specific problem, or you may want to keep ongoing development to a defined monthly amount.

Dedicated Server

We offer a fully supported RAID configured server set up. This come with a Service Level Agreement and is fully supported and monitored in real time by our support team. The server is also kept fully up to date with the latest security patches. For this level of service your auction system will be put on a server configuration with other auction systems.
